Gritting

GrittingWith our fleet of two Mercedes-Benz Unimog's fitted with RomaQuip salt spreads we are able to handle a large number of salt spreading contracts at one time. They are able to get to the site quickly and safely, with such large machinery you can be sure that your staff / customers will see the gritter on site and assist in avoiding all possible health and safety issues. All staff are trained to work in area's with close contact with people and cars and take the necessary precautions to ensure that we are visible at all times with beacons and PPE (Personnel Protection Equipment).

We also offer pathway gritting and snow clearance services using a trailed salt spreader to ensure a thick and even spread of salt allowing customers to freely access your work place without risk of a fall or injury.

We work closely with many large blue-chip companies providing a service that many other companies are unable to keep up with, time and time again Cochrane and Fleming out performs the competitors.

Working closely with the Met Office we monitor the forecast from early afternoon to early evening in order to make a decision to take action as soon as possible. We operate under several methods - call out; you call us when you feel that the weather will impact your business and based on a fixed SLA we will be out as quickly as possible. Temperature based - we use the Met Office web site which is updated hourly to take temperature reading from the nearest station to your business, should the temperature fall below a certain predetermined temperature our staff will be onsite that evening to carry out work. Our staff work throughout the night to ensure no disruption to your business or customers prior to any busy periods onsite. Open 24/7? Don't worry so are we; our work force is capable of 24/7 work, what ever the time you can rest easy knowing that our staff are working.

The HSE 1992 Act (now including the HSE Preventing Slips and Trips at Work 2005 Act) states that in abnormal weather conditions, arrangements should be made to minimise risks from snow and ice on floor way and traffic routes. Meeting the requirements of this regulation can involve salt-gritting and snow clearing. You don’t want to be at risk of being liable for damages!

Working with another company to provide your gritting services? Why not get in touch and get a quote, you will find our service second to none, pricing attractive and competitive.
